ECCOfence KIT

The package includes really everything you need to assemble the gabions: from nuts to screws, as well as ties (which prevent the gabion from deforming over time). Moreover, ECCOfence KIT gabions are quick and easy to install thanks to useful installation instructions that explain everything step by step. There is an appropriate ECCOfence KIT for every project.

 

ECCOfence KIT gabions are available in four heights: 50, 100, 150 and 200 cm. You can still adjust the height by placing the bottom deeper into the ground. More info on this can be found here.

 

The gabion is always 20 cm wide and 201 cm long. Using a disk cutter and a pair of cutters, you can easily adjust ECCOfence KIT in length.

Professional all-in-one construction kit
The professional kit includes everything you need to assemble the gabions: not only the panels, sides, feet, anchor bolts, ties (which prevent the gabion from deforming over time) but also the necessary nuts, screws, washers… Also, each package includes universal instructions that explain the step-by-step installation to you.

All you need to provide yourself is concrete (consider the bearing capacity of the soil) and your tools (diamond drill Ø 12, ring spanner 13-19 mm, hammer and disk cutter).

 

Easy and quick assembly
ECCOfence KIT gabions were designed to be as user-friendly as possible. ECCOfence KIT gabions can be assembled in no time. No need to fiddle with hundreds of clamps to fasten the various parts together and expensive pliers. Moreover, the panel is already adjusted to the height of your gabion. So KIT 200 has a panel that is 200 cm high. This way, there is no need to place several overlapping panels on top of each other, making the stones less visible. The meshes are 50 x 50 mm, allowing you to choose from a wide range of stones.

 

Easy customisable
ECCOfence Alubox has a standard length of 201 cm. Do you only need a wall of about 1 meter length? No problem! You can easily customise the gabion, by trimming the base with a disk cutter and the wire mesh panels with a pair of cutters. After adjustment, spray it with zinc alu spray!

 

Subtle transition between gabions
ECCOfence KIT gabions were developed in such a way that the transition between two gabions is very subtle. The gabions can also be very easily attached to one another by means of the holes in the sides provided, so that the gabions are always in a nice, straight line.

Little loss of space due to narrow width
ECCOfence KIT gabions are only 20 cm wide. As a result, they provide only a slight loss of space, but do not lose their strength. For this reason, ECCOfence KIT gabions can safely be used to protect parking lots, buildings and as retaining walls.

 

Raised gabions
ECCOfence KIT (and PRO) gabions can be placed on feet. Raised gabions have 3 major advantages:

Place the gabions on feet to prevent contamination of the bottom layer of stones by splashing water and lower the maintenance of the gabions.
Raised gabions allow light at the bottom of the gabion.
Raised gabions allow small animals to crawl under the gabion, so biodiversity is not disturbed. In addition, you can sow grass or plant plants under the gabions.

Application

Fence
ECCOfence is the ideal for fencing or the replacement of traditional fencing in wire or wood. ECCOfence is a high quality product that requires virtually no maintenance and has a very long lifespan (unlike e.g., wood that can eventually discolour or even rot). ECCOfence involves little loss of space (Alubox only 16.5 cm wide and KIT & PRO 20 cm) without sacrificing safety. ECCOfence consists of full wire mesh panels, up to a height of 200 cm, so you don’t have the noticeable transitions that occur with block fencing.

 

Terrace
Do you wish to close off your terrace? Then you can definitely choose ECCOfence. ECCOfence gabions have a natural look and fit both modern and more rural surroundings.

 

Protection of buildings
In addition, you can also use ECCOfence gabions to protect buildings or commercial premises, as they are solidly anchored in concrete.

 

Parking place marker

The standard dimensions of ECCOfence KIT gabions are (lxwxh* in cm):

* The height of the feet (9 cm) of the gabions is included. The following items are included in an ECCOfence KIT package:

 

2 feet: these are hot-dipped galvanized. Width of foot is 34 cm, distance from center of anchor bolt to center of anchor bolt is 29 cm. The total height of the foot is 9.4 cm. The foot is also contains with 2 fitting points for calibrating the base plate.
1 base plate of 201 cm long and 20 cm wide: V-profile in sendzimir of 215 g/m², the length of the base plate is made so that it automatically calibrates the distance between 2 feet in order to perfectly fit the nets. The base plate is reinforced, which makes it possible for the gabion to be placed on feet. The advantage of raised gabions is that the bottom layer of stones of the gabion will not get dirty by splashing water.

2 panels: they are treated with a 340 g/m² zinc and aluminium alloy as standard. The wire meshes are 4 mm wide and 50 x 50 mm.

2 sides with reinforcing plates : these are groved plates in sendzimir 215 g/m². Thanks to the reinforced sides, the risk of bending in the gabion is reduced to a minimum. Several holes are provided to compensate for height differences. From a height of 1 meter, an additional reinforcement angle is provided. Holes are also already provided in the side plates for attaching several ECCOfence KIT gabions to each other (so that they stand in a nice, straight line). If desired, you can optionally order a wire mesh side panel so that the stones are also visible from the side.
1 upper panel of 201 cm long. These also have a 340 g/m² zinc-aluminum alloy. The wire meshes are 4 mm wide and 50 x 50 mm. The top panel is bent at the side, making it very easy to install the gabion. The top panel is then secured with 6 plastic strips (also included in the package).

Connecting hooks or ties (6 for KIT 50, 24 for KIT 100, 36 for KIT 150 and 48 for KIT 200): these are specially designed to fix the panels both outward and inward. This prevents the panels from falling against each other during filling and ensures that they will not bend over time. Also included in the package are 6 wooden blocks that protect the ties during filling.

4 anchor bolts M12. The anchor bolts are 12 mm in diameter and a depth of 85 mm. One anchor bolt can bear 2,150 kg, which is an enormous amount of weight. Feel free to purchase the wedge bolts from another manufacturer. Because the anchor bolt must be sufficiently anchored, it should always be set in concrete (min. 350 kg cement/m³). So this may not be anchored with stabelised sand.

 

The package also includes all the nuts, bolts and even cover caps. All you need to provide yourself is concrete (consider the bearing capacity of the soil) and your tools (diamond drill Ø 12, ring spanner 13-19 mm, hammer and disk cutter).

Optional additional order:

A side panel (340 g/m² zinc-aluminum alloy). This is only needed if you want the stones to be visible from the side. You do not need this if the gabions start and end against a wall or hedge, for example.

Foot for angles. This special foot can be used for 90° angles as well as other angles.
Finally, you can also optionally order energy-efficient LED lighting to mount at the bottom of the gabion.

The ideal size for filling ECCOfence KIT, depending on the shape of the stones, is between 40 mm and 100 mm. The required filling expressed in m³ is:

ECCOfence KIT 50: 0,17 m³
ECCOfence KIT 100: 0,38 m³
ECCOfence KIT 150: 0,59 m³
ECCOfence KIT 200: 0,80 m³
